Super 8 'Katalin Varga'

I've spent the last couple of hours watching this location footage from one of my favourite films of recent years.  Utterly mesmeric images by the ever wonderful Peter Strickland.

Hello, I thought I'd bring this movie that I watched the other night to your attention, it's called "The Shout" and it fits nicely in this blog. It features a young John Hurt assuming the role of a sound artist besieged by a unwelcome intruder. Has some scenes of him composing, right here:

Thanks Steven, "The Shout" is indeed a wonderfully intense piece of British cinema. One of my favourites already.
